The Fourth Trimester & Postpartum Wellness
This unique period begins the moment your baby is born and lasts for the first few months of their life outside the womb. It's a time of immense change and development for both you and your little one, filled with opportunities for bonding, rest, and recovery. With the right resources and support, this transition into parenthood can be a memorable and emotionally enriching journey. After your baby is born, significant physical, emotional, and hormonal shifts naturally occur as your body begins to heal and adjust. Experiencing baby blues, sleep deprivation, anxiety, mood changes, or postpartum depression (PPD) can happen in the days, weeks, or even months following birth. While every postpartum journey looks different, having a strong support system in place can make a meaningful difference.
Your recovery matters — and ensuring you have emotional, physical, and practical support during this transition is incredibly important.
This is a critical topic to be discussed in your birth plan, with your birth partner, family members and any additional support you wish to have with you. If available, I can provide care as a newborn nanny to help you further rest and recover.
