Chelsea's Birthing Philosophy

"I acknowledge birth as a rite of passage into life, motherhood and parenthood.  Uniquely dependent on every Mother and baby's overall health, studies have shown that when you're in a space where you feel supported, safe and informed of all your laboring options, the mystery and marvel of childbirth can unfold freely with less risk of intervention.

With the power of intention, body awareness, the use of specific birthing and breathing techniques, we work together so you may ride the waves with ease throughout labor and delivery. I stand for every birthing person to feel informed, empowered and confident throughout their pregnancy, birth and transition into parenthood so it may be remembered as a positive experience.

As your Birth Doula, with the support of your birth partners and care providers, I aim to provide unwavering support throughout your pregnancy, labor and postpartum journey. Deciding to have a Doula be present with you during labor is no easy decision, but I vow to honor, respect and uphold professionalism in being with you throughout. "

"If a Doula were a drug, it would be unethical not to use it."

"Chelsea has an incredible ability to problem-solve and magically make things to come together. She is full of great ideas and gracefully takes on leadership roles when she is clear she can deliver. Connecting at a deep level with the people in her life seems to be her biggest gift. No cutting corners. No short cuts. All Chelsea."

"With years of experience, she is unfazed by stressful situations. Her presence is calming and comforting.

She made the transition to having two children far smoother than I could have hoped for."

"I felt safe knowing that Chelsea was in charge. I note that over the years I have had numerous care givers for my daughter and none have reached the level of connection that my daughter had with Chelsea."

"While she has an incredible way with children, Chelsea's true gift is understanding how to be helpful.  She has an uncanny ability to read situations and react in a compassionate and supportive way.  I witnessed first hand this ability when my son started having Grand mal seizures at the age of 3.  Chelsea didn't hesitate to run to his assistance during his time of need and then, immediately after, switch roles into comforting and providing care for our family."
